Short Term Roadmap For The Dragon's Treasure
Mar 07, 2023
Hello all, I decided it's about time to give people a bit of an update of what we've been planning for the near future. I've been a bit quiet on that front, so time to remedy that.
--------------------------------------------
First and foremost, it had taken a bit of time to properly accommodate to the new schedule, but there's finally a proper flow to it, and building up reserves has also helped. There may be a way to go back to the original schedule, or even back to the daily schedule, but more on that later.
--------------------------------------------
So that's one reason for lack of updates, another is tax season is here. Since I doubled last year's income, moved states, and file all taxes by my lonesome, I've been trying to save up in order to weather the storm of whatever the business owes. Once that is paid off, I plan to ramp things up again.
--------------------------------------------
Post-taxes, I have a new priority goal: I have found several automatic single use tea bagging machines that are more affordable for me (read: less than $50,000). So I am going to be aiming for that. To those who have been around long enough, you may remember when The Dragon's Treasure picked up the automatic tea machine at the end of 2021, and how it increased productivity by an immense amount, reducing the workload to a fraction of what it is. As it stands now, single use bags for sample packs and pre-bagged teas take up the bulk (Over 50%, as much as 75-80%) of the current work that I do. With this machine, the extra work will be cut down to much that I can look to fulfill orders much more frequently. There will be a few other things I'll need to do to make room, but that is priority number 1.
--------------------------------------------
In between that, however, I'll also be looking to do some mass inventory expansions. Tins will finally be coming soon, I have received several samples, and once I decide which tins best suit ours and everyone's needs, they'll become available.
I'll also be looking to do a mass order of brand new ingredients, which means a massive amount of new tea combinations and possibilities.
--------------------------------------------
When those new teas role in, we're going to be updating Rotations and the Every Tea Sample pack. Once we have enough, Rotations will go up from 60 to 90 teas, and the Every Tea Sample Pack will be updated accordingly as well.
On the note of sample packs, we'll be introducing several new ones too.
--------------------------------------------
For The Dragon's Apothecary, once we get the new machine and get accustomed to it, that will be the next primary focus, as the machine will free up enough time to properly dedicate to that project.
That's what our current roadmap is looking like, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
